Recitation Competition

Poems always give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of the physical world.      Recitation activities help students build confidence as they learn to speak more accurately and persuasively about any piece of writing. Keeping this in mind, English Recitation Competition was organised for Nursery students. Our Oxfordians astonished everyone with their voice modulation and exceptional memorising skills. Our cute poets enjoyed the beauty of expression, thought, feeling, rhyme, rhythm, and words’ music. Taking all these facts, the children got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The competition inspired the young, vibrant poets to come forth and recite beautiful poems. The poems were judged based on presentation skill, voice and articulation, dramatic appropriateness and overall performance of the children. All the students were dressed up as characters and presented their poems with props, facial...

Image
Makar Sankranti is believed traditionally to mark the arrival of spring in India. As it is the festival of Sun God and he is regarded as the symbol of divinity and wisdom, the festival also holds an eternal meaning to it. This festival is known by different names in India, such as Lohri in North India and Pongal in Southern regions. It is a festival all about prayers, sweets, and kites. This festival gives us a reason to come together and celebrate after the chilling winter months. To mark the significance of this day, our little angels showcase their creativity in designing a kite with paper crumbling & transforming a flat piece into a finished sculpture, i.e., kite origami activity, which helped kids express themselves and support their development. Our tiny tots had fun-filled activities and exchanged sweets with their parents by saying ‘tilgul ghya – goad goad bola’, which means ‘let’s forget the past ill-feelings and grudges, resolve differences and remain friends. The festiva...
